Boomer Benefits offers help during upcoming Medicare Open Enrollment

PR Newswire iReach

FORT WORTH, Texas, Sept. 25, 2015 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Medicare's annual Open Enrollment Period (Oct. 15 through Dec. 7) is an opportunity for Medicare members to make changes in health and prescription drug plans for 2016.  Changes take effect Jan. 1, 2016.

"This is the time of year when all existing Medicare members can examine various options to get the most suitable coverage for next year," says Danielle Kunkle of Boomer Benefits (https://boomerbenefits.com).

Her national insurance brokerage includes a Client Service team of licensed agents who help clients with annual Medicare questions, plan selections and even claims problems. "No long holds or robotic phone trees – our clients always reach a real person."  Kunkle says.

"Most of our clients are happy with the Medicare supplemental plans they currently have but are confused about the annual Part D renewal."  Her Fort Worth, Texas-based company specializes in assisting Boomers on Medicare and offering backend policy support for everything from benefits explanations to provider appeals and prescription assistance.

"It's important to remember that Medicare Advantage plans and Part D drug plans can and do change every year as insurance companies renew their plan designs with Medicare," says Kunkle.  "October and November are the ideal times to talk to an expert who understands all the different plans and coverage.  Members who plan ahead, reviewing and comparing various options, may find they can save a significant amount of money."

The team of Medigap specialists helps Boomers not only save money but also to understand their basic Medicare benefits so that they can determine appropriate supplemental coverage. Many of the company's clients have developed relationships with the agents on the Client Service team who help them year after year in reviewing their coverage, and supporting them when claims issues arise.

Medicare's rules about cost-sharing and the many routes eligible for seniors can be a confusing maze. "Selecting the right plan, coverage and costs is ridiculously complicated for ordinary consumers but can be handled quickly, efficiently, and with assurance by Boomer Benefits' licensed insurance agents," says Kunkle.

"Our agents go through many hours of annual certification on Medicare-related insurance products," she explains. "They have a tremendous amount of knowledge about how all these plans work, and this enables them to advise Medicare beneficiaries about which plans might fit their individual needs and budget."

She described the aging Boomer generation as active, busy, and far less limited by their age than previous generations. "Most Boomers look for services and products that are convenient and easy to use. They don't want to spend every day thinking about their Medicare plan."
