Behind the science of stem cell therapy
One of the most exciting breakthroughs in modern medicine is learning about the seemingly endless possibilities of stem cell treatment. We are currently conducting a stem cell clinical study to find out more information about this innovative treatment and how it can help certain conditions.
For this clinical study, we are primarily working with elderly patients who suffer from degenerative disc disease and lower back pain. If you want to be in the study, call us at 561-630-3870 to find out if you're a good candidate.
After the first consultation each patient will undergo an initial MRI. We will review the MRI and make the decision whether or not to add the patient to the study. A date will be set for the stem cell procedure to be performed, at which time stem cells will be injected into the degenerate discs.
Several follow-up appointments will take place to monitor the progress and changes of each patient after the stem cells are injected. At each follow-up appointment, a new MRI will be done to evaluate the effectiveness of the stem cell treatment.
In the past, when a patient has suffered a severe injury to their joints, tissue, or ligaments, undergoing surgery to treat the problem was the only option available.
Now that regenerative stem cell therapy is being explored, and studies are being done, patients have an alternative to invasive surgical procedures.
Stem cells are being used therapeutically all over the world to treat pain and various other conditions once thought to be chronic. Stem cell research is still considered to be among the most fast-paced and exciting areas of medicine, and new applications are constantly being pursued and studied.
Because of the constant study of and growth in stem cell therapy, it's true potential and benefits are still unknown. We want all of our patients to reap the benefits of this cutting-edge and limitless treatment option. Our goal at The Spine Center is to ensure every patient can Live Life in Motion for years to come.
