Claims Data and Consumer Survey Findings Highlight Operational Risks Facing Beauty and Bodywork Professionals

Certain events, however, carry far greater financial consequences. Fire-related incidents accounted for a disproportionate share of total payouts despite representing a small percentage of overall claims.

Sixty-two percent of respondents said they are more likely to book with a professional who carries liability insurance. Participants also ranked service quality, affordability, and provider credentials among the top considerations when choosing a salon, spa, or independent practitioner.
