AmeriHealth New Jersey to host series of local Welcome Events for members looking to learn more about their benefits

CRANBURY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- AmeriHealth New Jersey is launching a consumer engagement initiative that will bring a series of Welcome Events to communities across the state. With the close of Open Enrollment, priority has shifted from helping members choose a health plan that’s right for them to helping people understand their plan design and how to maximize their benefits.

As a statewide health plan, AmeriHealth New Jersey has always taken a grassroots approach to consumer engagement. “Members can pick up a phone to dial a number or log on to a mobile app in order to tap into our resources, but hosting events in their neighborhoods allows us to provide a more personal approach to helping people navigate a complex health care system,” said Ryan Petrizzi, vice president of consumer markets and product development for the company.

“In addition to helping people understand how their health plan works, the goal is also to get members more comfortable with using tools we already have in place,” continued Petrizzi.

				Camden County
				Cooper University Hospital					Thursday, March 9
				Camden, NJ					3:00 p.m. - 8 p.m.
									Saturday, March 11
									11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

				Bergen County
				Holy Name Medical Center					Wednesday, March 15
				Teaneck, NJ					3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
									Saturday, March 18
									10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

30-minute presentations will take place on the hour, followed by Q&A sessions. Interested members should register by calling 877-456-8504 and bring their 2017 AmeriHealth New Jersey ID card to the event.
