WASHINGTON, Sept. 29 -- The American Council of Life Insurers issued the following news release on Sept. 28:
American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) President and CEO Susan Neely today expressed appreciation to Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner Glen Mulready for urging Oklahomans to think about their life insurance needs during Life Insurance Awareness Month in September.
"Commissioner Mulready's message to Oklahoma families about protecting their financial futures from life's uncertainties is more important today than it has ever been," said Neely.
"Each day, life insurers pay out $14.2 million in life insurance and annuities that increase financial security and certainty for Oklahoma families, small businesses, and employers. Unfortunately, too many families in the state and across America do not have this kind of coverage.
"We hope that more consumers will hear Commissioner Mulready's message and use Life Insurance Awareness Month as a catalyst to access the life insurance and financial protection they need."
'Life Insurance 101' videos and resources on the ACLI website can help consumers learn more about life insurance and how it help sets the foundation for long-term financial security.
