Allianz Global Assistance reported that it has launched a partnership with San Diego-based LBF Travel to provide travel insurance to LBF Travel customers.
LBF Travel is a global travel agency that operates both call centers and consumer-direct websites staffed by more than 450 travel professionals.
The companies said that LBF Travel will offer Allianz Travel Insurance products to consumers booking travel through its 10 direct- to-consumer websites, including SmartFares, Travelation and HotelWiz.
"LBF Travel is committed to providing the best possible value and experience to our customers and this partnership with Allianz Global Assistance will help protect travelers both before and during their trip," said Peter C. Harders, Vice President, Strategic Partnerships at LBF Travel. "Now when our customers opt to protect their trip by purchasing an Allianz Travel Insurance policy, they can rest easy knowing they're covered if they have to cancel their trip for a covered reason, or need assistance with medical emergencies, travel delays, luggage issues and more."
According to a release, Allianz Travel Insurance products will be integrated into the booking paths for LBF Travel offers for Flights, Hotels, Rental Cars and Vacations. Allianz Global Assistance uses a dynamic optimization platform to deliver real-time travel insurance offers that are specifically tailored to the customer and their trip.
