A.M. Best Senior Director to Speak at Cat Risk Management Conference 2017

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- A.M. Best Senior Director Greg Williams will speak at the Cat Risk Management Conference, to take place February 14–16, 2017, at Portofino Bay Hotel in Orlando, FL.

Mr. Williams will lead a breakout session, titled, “A.M. Best Stochastic BCAR Model,” on Thursday, February 16, at 8:30 a.m. (EST). During the session, Mr. Williams will address forthcoming changes to Best’s Capital Adequacy Ratio (BCAR) and will detail the most comprehensive review of the BCAR model since its introduction in the 1990s. He will explain how the updates are expected to provide a better tool to differentiate insurers’ exposure to risk and reflect the use of more advanced modeling techniques in the development of risk factors.
