Zurich Teams up with Program Administrator REX to Offer Workers’ Compensation Coverage to Wider Range of Businesses
SCHAUMBURG, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Zurich, a leading property and casualty insurance provider globally and in North America, announced today that it will join forces with Risk Exchange Insurance Services Inc. (REX), a program administrator which specializes in accessing underserved segments of the workers’ compensation market, to cover a wider range of businesses.
“Through our new program offering with REX, businesses and underserved segments of the workers’ compensation market can have the customer-focused service associated with Zurich’s brand, globally,” said Craig Fundum, president of Programs & Direct Markets for Zurich North America Commercial.
Zurich, recently named “best overall property insurer and workers' comp insurer” by Business Insurance, selected REX in part for its growing distribution channel, full-service infrastructure, and efficient, paperless Web-based systems.
“Zurich has a well-established, solid reputation for underwriting workers’ compensation risks," said Rosemarie Rogers, senior vice president for Zurich's Programs segment. "REX has access to a growing independent agency force. Having the ability to tap into different types of markets is one of the many reasons Zurich is excited to be backing this new program."
