Sept. 28--MOULTRIE -- A Moultrie woman reported a case of credit card fraud Thursday. She said it was the third time she'd had a problem like this, and all were related to the same chain of grocery stores.

Phyllis Creed, Gatewood Circle, told deputies she had been contacted by Discover, who told her someone was trying to make a transaction of more than $1,000 at a Myers Grocery store in Michigan using her credit card. The credit card company asked if she wanted the transaction approved and she did not.

Creed said twice before someone has charged $80 and $30 to her Discover card, both times at a Myers Grocery store in different states. She said each time she has changed her account information.

Other arrests

Moultrie Police

--Anthony Wayne Richardson, 31, 820 Third St. S.E., was charged Thursday with shoplifting. Richardson is accused of trying to conceal $68 worth of clothing at Walmart Thursday.

--Teavis Donyell Williams, 27, 176 William Way, was charged Thursday with parole violation.

--Lonnie L. Jenkins, 32, 711 Fourth St. S.W., was charged Thursday with two counts violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act, one alleging marijuana and one cocaine; failure to appear; and parole violation.

--Silvina Benitez, 40, 1423 11th St. S.W., was charged Thursday with driving without a license and improper tag display.

--Joseph Lee Moore, 51, 708-C Seventh St. N.W., was charged Thursday with probation violation.

--Michael Bernard Enoch, 28, 178 Lakeview Acres Road, was charged Sept. 2 with possession of firearm by a convicted felon and on Sept. 9 with probation violation.

--Terry L. Barber, 47, First Avenue Northwest, was charged Wednesday with probation violation.

--Cody Richardson Gignac, 23, Moxley Lane, was charged Sept. 20 with probation violation.

--John Rodger Hall, 48, 13 Taylor Lane, was charged Sept. 21 on a bench warrant.

--Lauro Martinez, 53, 337 Kendallwood Drive, was charged Sept. 20 with no driver's license.

--Angelina Maria Garcia, 34, of J.O. Stewart Road, Norman Park, was charged Sept. 20, with no license and failure to stop at stop sign.

Sheriff's Office

--Jason Dewayne Barrett, 26, 1591 Highway 33 S., was charged Thursday with probation violation.

--William Charles Fletcher, 20, of Omega, was charged Wednesday with criminal trespass. Fletcher is accused of tearing a bedroom door off its hinges after a domestic incident at his residence on Ellenton-Omega Road.

Norman Park Police

--Ryan Kent Smith, 26, of Thomasville, was charged Thursday with speeding and reckless driving.

Georgia State Patrol

--Louise Paz, 30, 139 N. Pine Drive, was charged Thursday with expired vehicle tag/decal and no insurance.

Violence

Moultrie Police

--Quayla Williams, of Moultrie, reported Sept. 21 she was attacked by a woman she knows while at a friend's apartment on Fourth Street Northwest.

Sheriff's Office

--A 16-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly punched a 17-year-old several times in the face at Colquitt County High School.

The victim suffered a busted lip and several red bruises around his neck, a Colquitt County Sheriff's Office said. The 16-year-old was released to his parents.

Property damage

Moultrie Police

--Bobby Warren Browning, of Moultrie, reported someone broke a window pane at a house in the 700 block of South Main Street early Thursday. Police said it may have been an attempt to get into the building but if so, it didn't appear to have been successful.

--Shantel Alford, of Moultrie, reported Thursday a man she knows broke her Samsung flip phone.

--Shunteria McNeal, Hallmark Drive, reported a broken window Monday.

--Norma Jean Johnson, of 26th Avenue Southeast, reported Tuesday that her 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser was damaged. Johnson said she hadn't hit anything, and the officer said damage to the front bumper did not appear to be from a collision.

Sheriff's Office

--Judy Parker, 700 block J.O. Stewart Road, reported Thursday that a known male kicked in a door of a house she rents out on J.O. Stewart Road. The incident happened the previous Sunday night, she said.

--An employee of Pizza Hut told police Thursday that a man paid for a meal with a counterfeit $100 bill.

--Police responded Sept. 18 to a report of counterfeit money at Chevron, 1350 Veterans Parkway North.

--Belinda Jenkins Coats, of Moultrie, reported Monday a case of fraud in which she said she lost $350.
