Wells Fargo Insurance Services Names John P. Grotts Managing Director for San Francisco Operations

30-year industry veteran to join San Francisco team

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Wells Fargo Insurance Services USA, Inc. – part of Wells Fargo & Company – has named John P. Grotts managing director for its SanFrancisco office.In his role, Grotts will oversee client service, market relations, employee development and recruitment, and sales. Based in San Francisco, Grotts will report to Brian Hetherington, regional managing director for Wells Fargo’s San Francisco Bay Area Region.

In August, Wells Fargo announced a new structure for its San Francisco/Bay Area operations. Leveraging its size and significant presence in the San Francisco and Northern California markets, the business combined the San Francisco South Bay and North Bay regions, providing customers with improved service and access to insurance and financial resources. With offices in San Francisco, San Carlos, Redwood City, Scotts Valley, Walnut Creek and Petaluma, Wells Fargo is well-positioned to serve the insurance needs of customers throughout the Bay Area.

With more than 30 years experience in the insurance industry, Grotts has assumed various roles including client advocate, sales manager and office leader. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, he was CEO of Willis of California for over ten years. Grotts earned his bachelor of arts and master’s degrees at Fresno State University, He holds both the CPCU and ARM professional designations.
