WPS Health Insurance to Sponsor VSA Wisconsin’s 14th Annual Golf Exhibition Featuring Steve Stricker

Featuring Steve Stricker, top-ranked professional golfer and Madison resident, this annual event supports VSA Wisconsin’s mission to make a positive impact on the lives of children and adults with disabilities through participation in the arts. A nine-hole golf exhibition at 9 a.m. will be followed immediately by a luncheon (approximately 11:30) featuring VSA Wisconsin participants, a silent and live auction of sports memorabilia and other special items, and a Q&A session with Steve.

Jim Riordan, president and chief executive officer of WPS, also serves as chair of the board of directors at VSA Wisconsin. “In these challenging economic times, the creative arts are more important to people than ever,” said Riordan. “Participation in the arts stimulates the senses and lifts the human spirit. All of the event’s tax-allowable donations will be directed to the VSA Art Center. Established in 1997, the VSA Art Center provides individual and group classes for children and adults with disabilities. Classes are designed to give individuals with disabilities an opportunity to meet new friends, participate in activities outside of home and work, and experience the arts firsthand.

The annual VSA Golf Exhibition featuring Steve Stricker has raised more than $500,000 for the VSA Art Center since 1997. WPS has been a major sponsor every year since the event began.
