W. R. Berkley Appoints John Goodwin as President of Berkley Risk

W. R. Berkley Corp. has named John M. Goodwin as president of Berkley Risk Administrators Company.
In its release, W. R. Berkley said Goodwin succeeds J. Michael Foley, who has been named chairman of Berkley Risk.
Goodwin most recently served as executive vice president of Berkley Risk, having joined the company in January 2012 after leading significant business units at other large property casualty insurers.
William R. Berkley, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of W. R. Berkley Corp., said: "Jack has extensive experience leading large teams in developing risk solutions for customers. We are fortunate to have him assume the leadership role at Berkley Risk." He continued, "Mike has been instrumental in creating and leading a number of our operating units over the years and we thank him for his numerous contributions to W. R. Berkley Corp. We are pleased that he will continue on as chairman of Berkley Risk."
