USAA Life Insurance Co. Launches New Online Health Marketplace

USAA members enrolling in Medicare this year have a new resource for Medicare-related products and education. A new education hub and online marketplace at usaa.com/medicare features a variety of Medicare choices from USAA Life and preferred carriers.

“Our members have told us that their health and financial needs have continued to grow,” said Greg Marion, vice president, health solutions, USAA Life Insurance Co. “As we head into Medicare open enrollment, we want to arm them with the tools they need to make informed, thoughtful decisions about their health insurance coverage.”

The marketplace offers visual guides, frequently asked questions and articles to address key concerns from members, including how to effectively manage health expenses. Retired military members enrolled in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) can find information on how Medicare and TRICARE For Life work together.

Members will be able to develop a customized health profile to determine which solutions fit their needs as they approach the decision-making process. They can also compare different product features and prices and purchase coverage immediately in most states online or by phone. For adult children, the marketplace makes it easier for them to help their parents review and select coverage remotely.
