Turn up the volume! [Texas Banking]

n Sept. 10, TBA will be launching Texas Banking Radio, a 30-minute radio show and our newest medium for bringing you Texas banking-related information and TBA news. The show, which will air live every Tuesday at 10 a.m., starts off with a guest speaker, who will be interviewed by radio show host Jason Dias, chief creative officer of New Braunfels-based Eloquent Online. We will also feature a community calendar and information about TBA products, services and educational offerings.

Kicking off the show on Sept. 10 will be our own John Heasley, who will present a legislative overview, including legislation passed by the 83rd Texas Legislature and bills pending in Congress. Other topics and guests we've lined up include former TBA Chairmen Vic Pierson and Wes Hoskins, who will discuss disaster relief; current TBA Chairman Ignacio Urrabazo, who will focus on border banking issues; Jeff Simpler of CSI, who will alert us to cyber security dangers; and Juli Lynch of TBA's Management Development Program, who will talk about leadership.

Numerous other speakers are lined up, and a variety of topics will be discussed on such issues as compliance, social media, financial literacy, home equity, ag banking, financial planning, Obamacare and many, many more.

TBA member banks will also be well represented in the program, as our own Donny Palmer will share special bank anniversary announcements and other milestones to recognize the accomplishments of the industry and our bankers.

The show can be heard live every Tuesday by logging on to www.blogtalkradio.com/texasbankingradio. Or, you can listen from anywhere, at any time since shows are archived.

We know our bankers are busy and can't spare much time to read all of the banking news available in so many formats and presented by so many outlets.
