Feb. 25--When I read the description of this new series starring Christian Slater and Steve Zahn, I thought of it as more of an edgier "Psych." Consider this: Zahn is Clark, who is described as an expert in human behavior. Slater plays his brother Ross, who was a con man newly released from prison. Together, they run an agency to solve clients' problems "by using psychological manipulation." Are they doing this out of the goodness of their hearts, or are they just helping Ross continue his con ways? 10 p.m.ABC

'ABOUT A BOY'

This new comedy got a test run Saturday night but will settle into its regular time slot tonight. The comedy is based on the book by Nick Hornby, which also was made into a 2002 movie starring Hugh Grant. Producer Jason Katims successfully turned "Parenthood," which once was a film, into a heart-warming TV drama. Perhaps he can do the same here. The story centers on Will (David Walton), a perpetual bachelor who seems not to have a care in the world. His life turns upside down when Fiona (Minnie Driver) and her 11-year-old son, Marcus (Benjamin Stockham), move next door. At first, Will pretends Marcus is his kid to win points with the ladies. But he actually likes being the male figure in the kid's life, which threatens to disrupt his carefree lifestyle. 9 p.m.NBC

'GROWING UP FISHER'

I keep waiting for J.K. Simmons to get his own show and have it succeed. You may recognize him from TV's "The Closer," the "Spider-Man" trilogy and those insurance commercials. His dry sense of humor but ability to be empathetic make him an engaging character actor. Here, he is a blind man whose life is dramatically altered when his wife (Jenna Elfman) divorces him. He no longer can pretend to be blind, especially when a guide dog enters the picture. 9:30 p.m.NBC

'GLEE'

"Glee" is back on Tuesday. In this episode, Santana, in an unlikely twist, becomes Rachel's understudy in "Funny Girl." At McKinley High, Tina and Artie compete to be valedictorian, which may make you say, "You mean they still haven't graduated?" 8 p.m. Fox
