Teleunderwriting is Now Telegibility(TM) in the Life Insurance Industry
| PR Web |
The term “teleunderwriting” represents many things, but always involves the exchange of information over the phone. Typically, information is collected for later use in the underwriting process. This all changed in March of 2009, when Apptical launched a service that allows Life Insurers to provide eligibility guidance at the point-of-sale as part of an e-application process or telephone interview. Telegibility helps both brokers and insurers grow quality simplified issue and fully underwritten life insurance applications, a multi-billion dollar market, by providing telephone interview and rules engine functionality as well as on-demand, supervised interviewers, for a new generation of sales and underwriting tools.
Telegibility represents a paradigm shift in thinking about how we sell insurance. Apptical solutions can be made available via a wide variety of channels including agency call centers, Apptical SoundDecision contact center, or direct carrier portals for consumers.
Telegibility is the newest offering from
Apptical combines the best of the vertical proprietary functionality and on-demand contact center to create beautifully simple services for any insurance company to consume. Apptical’s Telegibility model gives insurance carriers and brokers the ability to enhance existing processes while concurrently driving up sales and increasing protective value. “Telegibility is revolutionary, as it gives agents all the information they need at the point-of-sale which helps drive up their placement rates” comments
Two Apptical products, SoundDecisions and PURE, are combined to form the Telegibility solution.
Questionnaires can be customized to match life insurance applications, and the telephone Interviews can be conducted using the on-demand SoundDecisions telephone interview solution. PURE, the predictive underwriting rules engine, is systematically called upon during the SoundDecisions telephone interview to render eligibility at the point-of-sale. It can evaluate the answers to application questions, prescription history results, MIB results and MVR results and triage the information to determine if additional questions need to be asked before final eligibility is rendered. As soon as these reflexive questions are answered, PURE renders its final decision and that information is communicated to the producer. Both SoundDecisions and PURE are product centric, and can be configured without software developers.
