Brentwood, Tennessee (PRWEB) January 14, 2013
Nashville, TN ; 1/11/13- TIS Nashville has provided insurance to the trucking industry for over 35 years. Now in addition to providing non-trucking liability they will also offer true Bobtail and Deadhead/Unladen Insurance forms for owner operators through an independent insurance agency network nationwide.
Scott Hendricks, CEO of TIS Nashville commented on the new coverages “While most motor carriers only require Non-Trucking Liability coverage for their leased owner operators, there is a gap in the market for those seeking broader options. TIS was the originator of the Non-Trucking product back in the 70’s and we’re continuing to lead the industry through innovation and new product development”.
While non-trucking liability covers liability arising out of personal use of a truck, Bobtail provides coverage when no trailer is attached. Unladen broadens that further to include the time while a trucker is hauling an empty trailer. This new Unladen Liability Insurance is being provided on Hudson Insurance paper and claims will be handled by Specialty Claims Inc, a TIS Nashville affiliate.
