Steve Martenet Named President of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Missouri

ST. LOUIS, Aug. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Missouri announced today that Steve Martenet has been named president, effective Sept. 1.

Martenet is an Anthem veteran, and brings deep experience to his new role. He currently serves as president and general manager of Specialty business for Anthem's parent company.  Martenet has been with the company for almost 17 years and previously served as president of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Wisconsin.

"Steve's past success leading our Specialty business and our Wisconsin plan, as well as leadership roles in Ohio and Kentucky, positions him well to ensure the continued success of Anthem in Missouri," said Dennis Casey, senior vice president of Local Group Business for Anthem's parent company.  "Steve will be focused on building relationships with all of our partners in Missouri as we work together to improve access to affordable health care for our members."
