State Farm Bank® On the Spot Deposit™ Comes to Android

BLOOMINGTON, Ill., Oct. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- With the newest version of the State Farm® Pocket Agent™ Android app, State Farm Bank customers join iPhone customers in being able to deposit checks into their State Farm Bank deposit account directly from their phones.

The process is simple: Just endorse the check, enter the amount and take a picture. On the Spot Deposit supports scanning of unlimited checks per day. The maximum daily deposit is $10,000. State Farm Bank is working to make banking easier with secure check deposits whenever –  and wherever –  it's convenient for account holders.

On the Spot Deposit will work with Android versions 1.5 and above. Customer can currently deposit checks using iPhone3G, 3Gs and 4. The service allows State Farm Bank customers to quickly and securely deposit checks into their State Farm Bank savings, checking, interest checking and Money Market accounts. The service also sends a confirmation notice from State Farm Bank when a check is received.

State Farm plans to launch additional updates to Pocket Agent in the coming months. These updates will include allowing State Farm Bank customers to view their transaction history and pay their bills. Additionally, home scanning for check deposit will soon be available for all State Farm Bank customers.
