The Federal Aviation Administration is seeking competent and qualified contractors to provide labor, equipment, tools, supplies and material to replace the FIRE ALARM SYSTEM inside the Power Service Building at the New York Air Route Traffic Control Center (NY ARTCC).

The existing FIRE ALARM SYSTEM consist of photoelectric, ionization, thermal and duct detectors, manual pull stations and horn/ADA strobe units, controlled by an analog fire panel, model type AFP-200.

The system is to be replaced with a fully addressable FIRE ALARM SYSTEM, with the capability with the existing ARTCC MAIN FIRE ALARM control panel, in the control room area.

This Screening Information Request (SIR) is being sent to:

A & F Fire Protection, Hartcorn Plumbing, PJS Electric, Rayco Inc.,Sheckler Contracting and Synthesis Inc.

-Mandatory Pre-proposal Site Visit is scheduled for December 12, 2013 @ 10:00 a.m. at FAA NY ARTCC located at 4205 Johnson Avenue - Ronkokoma NY followed by a tour of the facility. Attendance is mandatory because of the nature of the work. Security issues preclude the need for the FAA to be informed prior to contractor(s) arrival for escorting requirements.

-Contractors shall submit list of attendees to [email protected] no later then Noon - December 10, 2013. Only those offerors identified above will be permitted at the pre-proposal visit conference.
