Sen. Casey Introduces Bill to Clarify Tax Treatment of Life Insurance Contract Transactions

WASHINGTON, Feb. 2 -- Sen. Robert Casey, D-Pa., has introduced legislation (S. 2048) to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to "clarify the tax treatment of certain life insurance contract transactions." The bill was introduced on Jan. 31. The legislation was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
