AFLAC, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Kemper, Liberty Mutual, MetLife, Mutual of Omaha and Other Insurance Leaders Use Intellisync to Synchronize Customer Data and Documents, Increase Productivity, and Reduce Operational Costs
Intellisync Corporation [Nasdaq: SYNC], the leader in platform-independent wireless messaging and mobile software, today announced that Sanlam Life Assurance Limited, one of the largest life insurance providers in South Africa, has deployed Intellisync Mobile Suite[TM] to synchronize its mobile workforce, reducing operational costs and improving customer service. Sanlam joins a wide range of Global 2000 corporations including AFLAC, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Kemper, Liberty Mutual, MetLife, Mutual of Omaha and Zurich North American, all of whom deploy Intellisync Mobile Suite[TM] to mobilize their sales teams and synchronize corporate data and documents.
Sanlam depends on independent financial advisors and brokers to connect with customers and sell life insurance services. These independent agents must keep customer data up to date, and have access to the latest sales and corporate materials. Intellisync now enables Sanlam's mobile financial advisors and brokers so that these remote workers can retrieve the latest customer data, forms, brochures and other corporate documents, which are synchronized and distributed daily, ensuring that all advisors remain up-to-date with corporate headquarters. Following a thorough evaluation, the South African insurance company chose Intellisync Mobile Suite[TM] based on its ability to wirelessly transmit and provide critical information to Sanlam's widely dispersed mobile workforce. Consistent with Intellisync's focus on the best possible mobile user experience and lowest possible cost of ownership, Intellisync enables Sanlam's independent workforce to operate as a coordinated unit, delivering increased productivity and reducing costs, while ensuring customers receive responsive, quality service.
"We chose Intellisync because it enabled us to sync data and files to a variety of mobile devices and laptops in minimal time, right out of the box," said Johan Kroes, Sanlam senior IT architect. "In South Africa, online time is expensive, so Intellisync's ability to synchronize even large files in mere minutes was a critical benefit. Mobile Suite File Sync provides us with an even greater return on investment by eliminating the hour a day our advisors used to spend driving to branch offices to pick up documents and client information. Now, forms, brochures and other documents are electronically delivered and the most current certification documents are downloaded so that advisors can show clients the products they are qualified to sell, enhancing their ability to serve customers and increase revenues."
A key component of the mobile platform installed by Sanlam is Intellisync Data Sync[TM], an award-winning application that helps companies build competitive advantage by empowering mobile workers with enterprise information, such as updated sales force automation [SFA] or customer relationship management [CRM] data, anywhere and anytime. Data Sync-enabled applications ensure enterprise information is available even when a network connection is not, efficiently managing application data changes between mobile devices and enterprise data sources.
Another application deployed by Sanlam is Intellisync File Sync[TM] which allows companies to slash the costs associated with automatic file distribution while improving document availability to a wide range of mobile devices and laptop/tablet PCs. As a result, mobile workers can retrieve a wide variety of file-based information such as sales literature, reports and contracts from their mobile device.
"Intellisync Mobile Suite provides tremendous value for companies like Sanlam that depend on a large, independent and mobile workforce to drive sales and revenues by providing the informational and communications resources from the main office, on their mobile devices," said Clyde Foster, Intellisync's chief operating officer. "Our ability to quickly and seamlessly synchronize enterprise data with SFA, CRM and other critical productivity applications helps our customers increase sales and reduce operational costs."
