Executives from Gulfstream, CNA will speak at Applied Ergonomics Conference

The keynote speakers at the Applied Ergonomics Conference 2015 will bring forth ergonomics expertise from the aerospace and insurance industries.

Joe Jordan, director of initial phase operations for Gulfstream Aerospace, will speak on March 17. William lloyd, senior vice president for risk control for CNA, will speak on March 18. Ehe conference is scheduled from March lb19 at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee.

Jordan, who has been with Gulfstream for 13 years, is responsible for more than 1,300 employees. He directs the tactical, strategic and process technology activities for the G 450 and G 550 aircraft.

I Ie spent more than 20 years as an operations executive with General Electric and has global experience in union and nonunion operations, defense and commercial contracts, and long and short cycle time manufacturing. I Ie emphasizes putting a heavy focus on lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, ergonomics and customer satisfaction.

Jordan earned his B.S. in business administration from Kings College and in 2007 was appointed both to the Penn State University MMM Academic Advisory Board and the Savannah Chamber of Commerce as manufacturing vice chair.

Boyd, who is responsible for the CNA's risk control function, runs a staff of 300 professionals who deliver occupational health and safety services. A member of the American Academy of Industrial Hygiene and former chairman of the Applied Ergonomics Conference, he has served on the board of directors for the Board of Certified Professional Ergonomists. I Ie is a certified industrial hygienist, certified safety professional, certified professional ergonomist and an Underwriters Laboratories-recognized risk engineer.

Boyd has more than 35 years of experience in the health and safety profession. I Iis B.S. in chemistry came from Austin Peay State University, his M.S. in occupational safety from the University of Tennessee.
