Robert D. Byler Named CEO of The Schinnerer Group

CHEVY CHASE, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Schinnerer Group, the parent company of leading managing general underwriter Victor O. Schinnerer and Canadian managing general agent ENCON, has named Robert D. Byler as its CEO.

In his new role, which is effective May 21, Mr. Byler will be responsible for driving innovation and growth at both Victor O. Schinnerer and ENCON, with a primary focus on U.S. program business.

Mr. Byler brings to Schinnerer more than 30 years of program experience both in the admitted and non-admitted markets. He currently is President of program business for QBE North America in New York. Before joining QBE in 2010, he was President and CEO of Amtrust Underwriters Inc. He began his career at General Reinsurance Corporation.
