Rearden Commerce Adds Dr. Elizabeth Xu to Technology Team

Expertise in platform and application development spans local and global implementations

FOSTER CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Rearden Commerce, a next-generation eCommerce company, today announced the appointment of Dr. Elizabeth Xu to Senior Vice President, Product Engineering. With more than 15 years experience building large-scale, mission-critical enterprise platforms and applications as well as business process management platforms, Dr. Xu will be responsible for leading Rearden Commerce’s global software development.

Prior to joining the company, Dr. Xu served as senior vice president of software development at RMS, a catastrophic insurance risk management company, where she was responsible for global software development. Prior to RMS, Dr. Xu was a partner at Business Innovation Services, where she focused on enabling companies to expand globally through product and marketing strategy.

Dr. Xu’s career includes nine years at Vitra Technology as senior vice president of product development and worldwide customer support, where she and her team built award-winning Business Process Management platforms and SaaS business operational intelligence suites. Dr. Xu was also part of the original team to develop the IBM Content Management Suite, working closely with IBM research centers and customers to productize IBM’s digital watermark, content encryption and video streaming technology. While at IBM, she also managed a development team at IBM DB2.

Dr. Xu holds an M.S. in Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Science from the University of Nevada, and an M.S. in Environmental Science and a B.S. in Space Physics from Peking University, China. She also serves as a board member for several non-profit organizations, including Asia America MultiTechnology Association and theNational Association of Asian American Professionals.
