Proactive Worldwide Editorial Manager Admitted to Bar of U.S. Supreme Court

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Anne Ellis, Esq., Editorial Manager of Proactive Worldwide, Inc. (PWW), was admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States in a ceremony held at the Supreme Court courtroom in Washington, DC, on Monday, June 6. Ms. Ellis was part of a group of 45 Illinois lawyers organized by the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA). The Honorable John G. Roberts, Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, granted the motion. A reception was held for the lawyers, their families and friends at the historic Willard Hotel in Washington, DC.

Admittees must complete a detailed application, obtain the endorsement of two sponsors currently admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court, and present a “certificate of good standing” from their local jurisdiction to confirm they have been a member of the local bar for at least three years.

Ms. Ellis applies her extensive background in legal and professional writing, editing, and adult education to serving clients at Proactive Worldwide. “Anne brings the same high level of integrity that she demonstrated to the court to her work at PWW, and we are proud that she has achieved this honor,” said Gary D. Ms. Ellis previously served as a subject matter expert and legal editor at Kaplan Financial in Chicago, where she developed continuing education courses for professionals earning advanced designations and licensing certificates in insurance. She also developed the Writing Support Center at West Suburban College of Nursing in Oak Park, IL, where she served as an adjunct professor.

Ms. Ellis received her JD degree from George Washington University Law School in Washington, DC. She is an active member of the Illinois Bar and is also admitted to practice in the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She is a member of the Chicago Bar Association as well as the Illinois State Bar Association.
