Police arrest man on theft charge

March 10--A Middlesboro man was arrested on Thursday after allegedly possessing stolen property. Willie George Flanary, 25, was arrested by Middlesboro Police Department Officer Keith Lowe and charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000.

According to the citation, Flanary had $1,499.37 worth of property that had been taken in a burglary at a Mountain View apartment belonging to Kevin Fitzgerald. Flanary sold the property to Gamestop in May 2012.

The citation states Flanary was originally pulled over for disregarding a stop sign on Happy Hollow Road. He was also charged with operating on suspended/revoked license and second degree possession of a controlled substance for having what appeared to be hydrocodone.

Flanary was released from custody at the Bell County Detention Center on Thursday as well.

Others recent felony arrest include:

-- Kristie Gail Cupp, 34, of Tazewell, Tenn., was arrested for first- and second-degree possession of a controlled substance;

-- Benjamin William Cinnamon, 37, of Tazewell, Tenn., was arrested for first-degree possession of a controlled substance, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, failure to or improper signal and failure to produce insurance card;

-- Charles Wayne Boatright, 41, of Miracle, was arrested for theft by unlawful taking.
