Plymouth Rock Employees Join JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes on the Avon- by-the-Sea Boardwalk [Travel & Leisure Close – Up]

Over 170 Plymouth Rock employees participated in or volunteered for the 27th annual JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes on the Avon-by-the- Sea Boardwalk, raising approximately $35,000 for the cause.

The Company said The JDRF walk is an annual charity event that Plymouth Rock participates in, sponsoring multiple teams to raise funds in the hopes of finding a cure for diabetes.

"Our company has a personal connection to JDRF and our employees look forward to the event every year," said Jim Tignanelli, President of High Point Companies at Plymouth Rock. "Supporting our community is another way Plymouth Rock Assurance is more than just insurance. We want to make a difference as individuals and as a company to NJ communities."

According to a release, the New Jersey car insurance company continues its commitment to JDRF and donates to several other charities as well, through its Pledge of Assurance. The pledge is the company's promise to make a $25 contribution to a customer's choice of one of a few selected charities should they fall short of their standards in the eyes of the customer. This is one of the many ways that Plymouth Rock contributes to the betterment of NJ with their corporate giving.

Plymouth Rock noted tat it also donates to many children's programs, schools, volunteer first aid providers, and local and national non-profit organizations throughout the year. Employees are active fundraisers and take advantage of the company's matching gift foundation. Being present in the community exemplifies the company's values to be "More than just insurance.
