ETRM software vendor Pioneer Solutions celebrates over 10 years of business as the close of 2013 marks the official 10th anniversary of Pioneer Solutions’ entrance into the energy trading and risk management software market.
History of Pioneer Solutions:
Pioneer Solutions was originally formed to provide effective next generation software for the financial and regulatory commodity and energy markets. The nature of Pioneer Solutions has always been commercial driver data management.
The Financial and Regulatory Risk Management System, or FARRMS, is the foundation platform on which Pioneer Solutions suite of six software modules are based. Since initial concept and development in 2002 and the imminent formation of Pioneer Solutions in 2003, FARRMS has been organically developed by industry professionals and is the core of the FARRMS suite of solutions.

About the Product:
FARRMS was designed to provide a flexible, dynamic system framework that would house software for delivery into the areas of workflow and regulatory risk management relating to trading, tracking and compliance. The system was created to be a thin, user-friendly, highly scalable, and configurable/adaptable solution that It was designed with ease of integration and rapid implementation in mind.
FARRMS is completely web-based and template and formula-driven providing the user a highly configurable environment for front to back office workflow automation of business processes. Built on non-proprietary Windows technologies, the system can achieve load balancing for a highly available and scalable solution. This promotes better efficiency within a business while providing strong industry proven technologies as a backbone.
The system facilitates collaboration among front, middle, back office employees and management with the built-in compliance/work flow management layer and messaging architecture. Workflow can be automated (i.e., deal approval process) and notifications can be initiated (i.e., exceptions or violations) and sent.
Offering comprehensive front to back office process management for both physical and financial deals of all asset classes and commodity types, FARRMS solutions are ready “out-of-the-box” or can be tailored to meet the client's needs.
