Phreesia CEO to Discuss How Touch Screen Technology Positively Impacts Patient Care, Workflow and the Bottom Line at Baltimore MGMA Conference

NEW YORK, March 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Consumers are shouldering an ever-increasing amount of the financial responsibility for medical care due to lingering economic woes, skyrocketing healthcare costs, rising deductibles and co-pay rates, and the widespread use of HSAs. Today, medical practices must collect $1 of every $4 in revenue directly from their patients; yet between 30 to 40 percent of patients leave their doctor's office without paying, according to industry estimates. It's more critical than ever for practices to collect patient fees at the time of care, yet relying on practice staff members to close the loop is inefficient and causes frequent interruptions. How can this problem get solved?

On Monday, March 28, 2011 at the MGMA 2011 Financial Management and Payer Contracting Conference, Chaim Indig, president and CEO of Phreesia, will help medical practice financial leaders and administrators understand how easily they can implement and transition from manual and paper-based patient intake processes to the latest automated technology, and deliver benefits to their practices. During "Solving the Practice Time Management Dilemma and Increasing Patient Collections with Technology," Indig will share case studies about how patient check-in technology has reduced the accounts receivable timeline, provided near real-time eligibility and benefits checks, increased collections and allowed staff to redirect their time to assisting with patient care and other more valuable tasks. </p>

Indig is a frequent speaker and has presented at McKinsey's Retail Healthcare Conference, Harvard Business School and MIT.  Prior to founding Phreesia, he led the successful introduction of Spotfire, the leader in high-end analytics software, into the pharmaceutical sales and marketing space in the United States, and was an integral member of the original team at Olap@Work, the leader in SQL server front-end tools, which was sold to Business Objects.
