Pacific LifeCorp Adds Christopher D. Furman to Board [Health & Beauty Close – Up]

Pacific Life announced that Christopher D. Furman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ventura Foods, has been elected to the board of Pacific LifeCorp, the parent company of Pacific Life Insurance Company.

The Company noted Furman joined the Brea, California-based Ventura Foods in 2009 as president & chief executive officer. Ventura Foods offers food service, private label products, and industrial ingredients throughout the United States. It has facilities across the nation with over 2,600 employees and over $2.5 billion in annual sales. Prior to joining Ventura Foods, Furman worked at PepsiCo, Inc. for more than 20 years in a variety of leadership roles, and finished his career at PepsiCo as president of the Foodservice Division.

According to a release, beyond his work at Ventura Foods, Furman is actively involved in the community and serves on the board of Children's Hospital of Orange County Children's Foundation.

"Chris has a wealth of experience in consumer goods, marketing and operations. We look forward to benefitting from his expertise and perspective as he joins the board of Pacific LifeCorp," said Jim Morris, chairman and CEO of Pacific Life.
