Outcomes Health Information Solutions Strengthens IT Team

Outcomes Health Information Solutions, LLC, a leading healthcare data abstraction and analytics company, announced the appointment of David Jeans as the new Vice President of Data Management and Chief Enterprise Architect. Mr. Jeans is responsible for leading the execution and enhancement of all of Outcomes' internal data systems and exchange of information with clients. "We are excited to have David join our team. His knowledge of healthcare data management and over 20 years of experience strengthens our growing IT team," said Jim Egan, Outcomes Chief Information Officer (see also Data Management).

Prior to joining Outcomes, Mr. Jeans was Vice President, Enterprise Data Management at WellCare Health Plans, Inc. where he was responsible for overseeing the data management functions for over 20 individual health plans. "David's experience will bolster our data management capabilities for all of our lines of business, including HEDIS medical record abstraction and Medicare Advantage HCC Management," said Mr. Egan. "We continue to add to our arsenal of capabilities, strengthening our IT management bench with data experts, like David, to better serve our growing client base and their increasing demands for more extensive information."

Outcomes continues to develop its information technology infrastructure which is part of CEO, Gary Velasquez's strategic plan. "We are investing in both - talent and enhanced processes - to provide our clients with a superior generation of data solutions," said Mr. Velasquez. In addition to Mr. Jeans, Outcomes has added other executives to the IT management team. Kirk Elder has been appointed as the Vice President of Applications Development responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising initiatives related to the design, development, and implementation of Outcomes' information systems and software applications. Mr. Egan adds, "Kirk brings years of experience to Outcomes in data management, architecture, and complex systems design and development - He's a great asset to the team."

Before joining Outcomes, Mr. Elder was part of the executive management team at MedQuist, a medical transcription software technology and services company. He has over nine years of healthcare technology experience, which includes information solutions architecture development, data management, and complex systems design and development. Mr. Elder holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Georgia Institute of Technology.
