Ogden City employees get raises

On Tuesday, the city council approved a proposed fiscal year 2015 budget that would give all of the city's 579 full-time employees a 1 percent cost-of-living increase, along with a 3 percent pay hike for employees who meet certain merit-based requirements.

The second consecutive year of pay increases comes as good news for city employees after both the fiscal 2012 and 2013 budgets included no cost-of-living increases or pay-for-performance bonuses.
