Northwest Registered Agent releases more Free New York State Agency Business Name Approval Resources and Templates – New York Incorporation Guidelines

Albany, NY (PRWEB) December 29, 2010

New York has the most restrictive name approval process in the United States. The New York Department of State does not give a warning about the rules of restricted or prohibited words, thus creating an enormous amount of rejected filings for new New York business entities such as a New York LLC, a New York Corporation, or any business entity. Northwest Registered Agent LLC has just released revised free guides to the name approval process, State agency contact details, and templates to get a business name approved in New York State.

New York requires various State agencies to “Approve” a name BEFORE submitting the filing to the NY Department of State. These State agencies are the Attorney General, Banking Department, Insurance Department, Education Department, Board of Regents, Commissioner of Education, Industrial Board of Appeals, Social Services, Secretary of the United Nations, and the US Olympic Committee. If the name has a “Trigger word” assigned to one of these State agencies, the State agency must approve the name, before the filing is submitted to the New York Department of State. The only way to find these words is to actually read the Statue pertaining to NY business names, or Northwest Registered Agent LLC has populated a list, the agency governing those words, and complete info on how to get approval from that State agency here: http://www.northwestregisteredagent.com/new-york-business-name-restricted-words.html

Many New Yorkers that are just trying to establish a new New York LLC or a New York Corporation will get a rejection letter about a month after submitting their filing to start their new business. The letter will site State code, and provide the State agency name that has to approve the name before re-submitting. Generally, the State agency procedures for approving business names are not available on the various State agency websites.

Northwest Registered Agent LLC. has just released a completely free guide to every NY State agency name approval process. You’ll find filing requirements, contact details, filing fees, processing times, if there’s a way to expedite it, and word doc and PDF templates to use in requesting your name approval.

Many New York businesses just give up on the name they desire because they are not able to navigate the red tape. There is a way to get desired business names. Northwest Registered Agent LLC provides assistance in getting NY business names approved, Northwest Registered Agent LLC will form a NY business: http://www.northwestregisteredagent.com/new-york-incorporation.html

Because of the process to start a business in New York, many people decide to incorporate in Delaware instead: http://www.northwestregisteredagent.com/delaware-incorporation.html where there’s a lax name approval policy, and Delaware will file incorporation papers in hours if you want to. Unfortunately, a lot of businesses incorporating in Delaware find out later that they still need to register their Delaware business in NY and still face the NY rules.

To make the New York business formation process even more confusing, the State requires LLCs to publish the fact that they are forming or registering a new LLC in New York in TWO newspapers in the County of the LLCs principal office for 6 weeks. Corporations do not have to do this requirement. Residents of New York City often find this an expensive procedure averaging about $900-1400 because of expensive Newspaper fees. New York City residents often hire a registered agent in a different County such as Albany, where the New York LLC publication costs average about $50-75.00 total. Hiring a New York Registered Agent that is located in a different County such as Albany and using their address as the “Principal” address on the formation paperwork is a common practice. Northwest Registered Agent LLC offers this service to help New York LLCs save on the New York City publication costs: http://www.northwestregisteredagent.com/new-york-llc-publication.html

Northwest Registered Agent LLC provides National registered agent services. Easy online signup, State forms, filing instructions, and immediate scanned documents in the client accounts are just a few of the reasons Northwest Registered Agent LLC is a leader in the registered agent industry. Utilizing leading edge technology, Northwest Registered Agent LLC helps many of the largest law firms manage thousands of their clients registered agent needs in New York State, Delaware, or any State in America.

Northwest Registered Agent LLC provides incorporation filing services if companies do not want to do the registration process themselves.
