New legal services available on Main Street [Point Pleasant Register, W.Va.]

Feb. 28--POINT PLEASANT -- When a new business opens, there's always that moment of anticipation of whether or not success is in the future.

On Friday morning, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held for Bill's Bail Bonds, owned by Bill Garvin, and Mason County Investigators, owned by Curtis McConihay. McConihay stated these businesses are a much needed service in this area, and sees them as a good option for when local residents need help.

According to McConihay, a bail bondsman works to provide bond, for a fee, in order to allow people to be out of incarceration while awaiting trial. He also stated, to his knowledge, that this was now the only bail bonding office in the county. Bill's Bail Bonds will reportedly be a very handy option to any who may need their service, since they are located near the Mason County Courthouse.

McConihay, who will work within the Mason County Investigators, also reported on some of the services they will offer to local attorneys and private individuals. They will have a process service, which can provide legal items such as subpoenas. They will also provide various surveillance options for investigative purposes.

McConihay reported that since he is a former deputy sheriff for Mason County, sees his experience helping this business succeed.

"I believe my years of law enforcement experience and Bill's experience in bail bonding will provide a much needed service to the community," McConihay said. "We look forward to working with the community in the coming years."

McConihay also reported there are no set hours of operation at the moment, as they are still in the process of opening for business, but their services are currently available by contacting them directly.
