Navigators Names U.S. Chief Claims Officer

NEW YORK, NY, Jan. 17, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Navigators Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:NAVG) today announced that it has appointed Christopher F. Finneran as U.S. Chief Claims Officer of Navigators Management Company, Inc., the Group's principal underwriting agency subsidiary. Mr. Finneran will be responsible for managing all U.S. claims, and will report to Bruce J. Byrnes, Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer.

Prior to joining Navigators, Mr. Finneran most recently was head of claims at Everest National Insurance Company, where he oversaw a book of Auto & General Liability, Construction Defect,  D&O, Professional Liability, Workers' Compensation and Property claims.
