The National Insurance Commission, NAICOM, has approved the appointment of Mr. Emmanuel Obinna Madu, as the new managing director and chief executive officer for ADIC Insurance Limited.
Mr. Madu's name was forwarded to the Commission for approval as MD/CEO of the company by the board of directors following a resolution to appoint him in that capacity last year.
With this development, the company which has operated without a substantive managing director for about two years now can now boast of one.
Before his elevation to the current position, he was general manager, Operations with responsibility for supervision and providing training/support/mentoring of a large team of underwriters, setting team objectives and the production of reports to the managing director.
He also acted as the active underwriter for all lines of business including Life, alongside the negotiation of all new business and renewals for the company's client.
An alumnus of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London, the University of Port Harcourt and Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Mr. Madu has over two and half decades experience in the Insurance Industry.A widely travelled insurer, the new CEO is married with children.
