Mostyn Law Firm Launches First E-Newsletter

This week Mostyn Law Firm launched its first monthly e-newsletter. The newsletter is designed to update current and former clients on new developments at the law firm, as well as other useful information to help in their everyday lives.

The first newsletter gives a highlight of the law firm's involvement in cases concerning complications from vaginal mesh implants and the drug Risperdal. Vaginal mesh, a product made of polypropylene, is surgically implanted and used to treat conditions that frequently occur after childbirth. Risperdal was prescribed to children with mental disabilities, including autism, attention deficit disorder, hyperactivity, and oppositional defiant disorder. Many adolescent boys taking Risperdal experienced weight gain and breast development, some even requiring breast reduction surgery.

This first newsletter also features Mostyn Law Firm programs designed to increase employee health. Employees of the firm are participating in the MS150, a charity bike ride from Houston to Austin that raises money and awareness for multiple sclerosis (MS). Over twenty employees of Mostyn Law Firm will take part in the ride, which takes place April 12th–13th. The larger event is seeking to raise $18.5 million. Mostyn Law firm employees are also participating in a health challenge that includes a 28 day detox and a yearlong commitment to a healthier diet and exercise routines. Many employees have also signed up for a vegetable share program that brings local, organic, farm fresh produce to the office weekly.

The newsletter also includes an advice section. This month's section includes "6 Common Mistakes People Make Before Filing a Homeowners Insurance Claim". Mistakes range from underinsuring your home to forgetting to document important details about your claim.
