Mondial Assistance USA Names Beth Godlin Managing Director
RICHMOND, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Mondial Assistance, the global leader in travel and specialty insurance, announced this week that Beth Godlin has been promoted to managing director of Mondial Assistance USA. Godlin has more than 25 years with the company, most recently as executive vice president, chief sales & marketing officer. In her new position as managing director, she will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company. She will continue to report to Jon Ansell, who will remain president & CEO of Mondial Assistance USA, where he’ll oversee the company’s business activities in North and South America and serve on Mondial Assistance’s global management committee.
As a member of the senior management team, Godlin has contributed greatly to Mondial’s growth in retail and online product development and distribution. With Godlin at the helm of sales and marketing, the company has achieved double-digit growth for the last six years. In her new role as managing director, she will now manage the overall performance of Mondial Assistance’s second largest company.
“I cannot think of anyone better suited than Beth to assume this role,” Ansell said. “With more than 25 years with the company, she has been instrumental in the development and execution of growth strategies that have helped propel us to our current position as the country’s leading travel insurer.”
Godlin was also instrumental in creating the initial plan that launched the Access America® travel insurance brand in 1985. Access America travel insurance is now sold by the country’s leading airlines, online travel agencies, and traditional travel agencies. In 2000, the company became the American affiliate of Paris-based Mondial Assistance Group. Mondial Assistance is a company of Allianz, a global financial services leader with operations in over 70 countries.
Godlin is also a board member of the United States Travel Insurance Association (UStiA) and Jefferson Insurance Company, and serves as co-chair of the UStiA communications committee.
