Manulife Appoints Executives for Asia, Hong Kong Operations

Manulife Financial Group and Manulife (International) Ltd. appointed four senior executives for human resources, finance, distribution compliance and product development functions in its Asia and Hong Kong operations.
May Wong has been promoted to the financial group's human resources vice president in Asia, providing strategic human resources support to Manulife's Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Asia regional operations.
Joanne Lee will become assistant vice president and financial controller of Manulife Hong Kong. She will be responsible for financial, regulatory and management reporting, planning and budgeting, treasury, cash management and financial compliance of the domestic operation.
Jim Mclnnis has been appointed as assistant vice president of distribution compliance at Manulife Hong Kong's agency operations. He comes from the group's Canadian division, and will be responsible for enhancing the compliance programs relating to distributing insurance and investment products in Hong Kong.
John Parker has been appointed assistant vice president of propositions and product development for Manulife Hong Kong's individual financial products team. He will also be joining from Manulife's Canadian division, to help strengthen the company's product and marketing capability in Hong Kong.
Manulife Financial is listed on several stock exchanges, including Toronto, New York, the Philippines and Hong Kong. The company and its subsidiaries reported funds under management totaling C$474 billion(US$468) as at Sept. 30, 2010.
