MBA Selects 35 Real Estate Finance Professionals for Future Leaders Program Class of 2012

WASHINGTON, March 26 -- The Mortgage Bankers Association issued the following news release:

The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) today announced the selection of 36 mortgage professionals into its CampusMBA's Future Leaders Program, an executive leadership development program that delivers a comprehensive curriculum for middle- and senior-level managers. Participants enhance their skills through three hands-on sessions geared toward political engagement; business analysis and problem solving; and experiential learning through collaboration, networking and peer group interaction.

"Given the immense changes our industry is facing, it is critical that the future of our industry be in the hands of engaged, effective and ethical leaders," said Jeffrey Schummer, MBA's Vice President of Education. "These industry professionals will join a national network of distinguished individuals who have been recognized by the industry as its next generation of leaders and will graduate equipped with the skills needed to prosper in this uncertain regulatory environment."

MBA's Future Leaders Program, in its 16th year, has evolved into a highly recognized program that enhances executive skills and provides an opportunity for participants to develop relationships that last an entire career. The program is dedicated to identifying and cultivating the next generation of industry leaders by delivering a comprehensive leadership training experience through events offered throughout the year.

Initiated in 1996 by then-MBA President Ron J. McCord, CMB, the Future Leaders Program delivers a highly regarded curriculum focusing on leadership and business analysis skills that will help them further develop their career in real estate finance. More than 400 real estate professionals have graduated through Future Leaders.
