Life Settlement Awareness Month Offers Industry Panel And Continuing-Education Course

Month-long Series Starts off Strong With Educational Panel Event and CE Course

SAN DIEGO – June 2, 2008 – With Life Settlement Awareness Month™ underway, financial professionals have the chance to take part in interactive educational events focused on life settlements and the secondary market for life insurance.

Life Settlement Awareness Month, which kicked off June 1, was started by Life Settlement Solutions, Inc. in response to a need expressed by financial professionals for more access to quality educational resources on the life-settlement industry.  As part of the month-long series of events, Life Settlement Solutions is hosting a number of educational opportunities, including an interactive panel featuring industry professionals and the chance to enroll in a certified continuing-education course.

<font face="Arial, Helvetica" size="2">The panel Life Settlement Industry Experts: Regulatory Forces will be held June 10 and will focus on regulatory matters facing the secondary market and trends currently associated with life-settlement transactions. Industry professionals Brian Casey, Esq. of Locke, Lord, Bissell & Liddell, Paul Kirkman of 21 Services and Scott Cipinko of the Life Insurance Finance Association (LIFA) will lead the panel.

Also offered as part of Life Settlement Awareness Month, financial professionals are invited to take part in one of the first continuing-education courses certified in all 50 states.  The course could count for up to eight credit hours of life insurance licensing continuing education, and will thoroughly cover the secondary market for life insurance, the life-settlement transaction process, working with a broker or provider, and the risks and rewards for investors interested in the asset class. 

In addition to the June 10 panel and certified continuing-education courses, Life Settlement Awareness Month will offer a number of other educational events, including advanced and fundamental webinars and hosted workshops at prominent industry events, including the Million Dollar Roundtable Convention in Toronto at the end of the month.
