Lexington Insurance Company Introduces Self Storage Facilities Program
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Lexington Insurance Company, a Chartis company, today announced the introduction of its Self Storage Facilities Program, which provides tailored property and liability coverage for owners of self storage facilities. Lexington is working with All Risks, Ltd.’s National Specialty Programs unit to serve this growing niche.
The Program is designed to meet the coverage needs of facilities that rent storage space to individuals and businesses. It includes Lexington’s innovative property, general liability, equipment breakdown and crime coverage, and also provides coverage for sales and disposal liability, as well as customer goods legal liability. Coverage is provided via a package policy, but is also available on a stand-alone basis if so desired.
“With over 52,000 self storage facilities in existence, representing over 2.35 billion square feet of storage, the self storage industry in the U.S. has routinely been identified as a top-tier growth industry,” said Vince Pugliese, Senior Vice President and Program Division Executive of Lexington Insurance Company. “We are excited to bring a quality insurance program to this sector and work with All Risks, Ltd. as our program administrator.”
“We are excited to work with Lexington on this new program to serve the needs of the self storage industry. We have extensive expertise to create custom-made insurance solutions that meet the unique coverage needs of this industry,” said Chris Kelleher, Vice President of All Risks’ program division.
