Lake ENT’s audiology and hearing aid department was selected as a secondary resource for the VA following an evaluation of the practice, its qualifications, resources and its ability to meet the needs of resident Veterans. Upon referral by the VA, clients can be seen at
The VA’s stringent criteria require that patients be seen by a Doctor of Audiology.
“We are honored to have been selected to provide audiology and hearing aid support services to the VA and its clients, said Dr. Holt. “For more than 40 years we’ve served the hearing needs of the Tri-County senior population and this gives us the chance to specifically show our pride and respect by providing encompassing, VA-approved services to men and women who have served our country.”
While audiology testing and hearing aid fittings are specifically made available to VA clients through the VA agreement, general public patients and those covered by insurance may also benefit from Lake ENT’s Board Certified ear, nose and throat practitioners and physician assistants, who are available on-site to evaluate medical issues which may cause hearing impairment.
Additional vestibular (balance) disorders, often caused by damage to the inner ear, may be addressed by a vestibular therapist depending on referral and coverage.
