Insurance Program Managers Group Automates Policy Administration and Underwriting Processes with Unify NavRisk; Rich Business Process Automation and Web Access for Members Increase Competitive Advantage
SACRAMENTO, CA - August 1, 2006 - Unify Corp. (OTCBB:UNFY), a leading provider of business automation solutions, today announced that Insurance Program Managers Group (IPMG) has completed its implementation of NavRisk as its new policy administration and underwriting system. IPMG selected NavRisk to consolidate all of its underwriting and client data into a single system and to automate and streamline the manual processes involved in managing and underwriting insurance policies.
IPMG administers three self-insured pools for counties, cities, schools, nursing homes and non-profit organizations with numerous members within each pool. IPMG's success has come from its ability to help meet the needs of its clients by providing professional expertise, effective marketing, aggressive claims management and timely loss-control services.
IPMG had spent a considerable amount of time reviewing available systems in the marketplace. Their decision to move forward with NavRisk was based on the system's ability to coordinate and manage the mounds of data generated on an annual basis from their programs as well as NavRisk's ability to integrate with IPMG's claims management and risk management systems.
"With the goal of growing the business and increasing services for our risk pool customers, we looked for a system that could consolidate our policy data into a single system, enable us to become more efficient and allow our clients access via the web," said Todd Greer, director of marketing for IPMG. "NavRisk met all of our unique requirements as a multi-pool program administrator and broker, and enabled us to enhance our relationships with our agents."
NavRisk eliminated the need to have hundreds of Excel spreadsheets for handling policy renewals, premium calculations, quoting and invoicing, certificates and coverage binders. Using NavRisk, IPMG is expected to increase services, improve efficiencies and reduce overall operational costs, thus enabling them to provide more timely and effective programs to members.
NavRisk provides a single view of all policy data and provides graphical navigation to easily and quickly drill down into policy and exposures by member. NavRisk handles all lines of business and offers a full set of integrated and unique automated features such as ad hoc reporting, loss control, flexible rating and contact management.
"Increasing services and communications with members is a key growth driver for multi-pool administrators like IPMG," said Dan Romine, vice president and general manager of the Unify Insurance Risk Management Division. "NavRisk provides our customers with the core functionality of workflow, business rules, web-based access and data migration in a system that's configurable and flexible to fit the unique ways in which they do business."
