IndiSoft Names Karun Khanna Chief Operating Officer
Mortgage industry veteran joins growing technology developer
COLUMBIA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- IndiSoft, a technology development firm that focuses on systems for the default services industry, has appointed Karun Khanna chief operating officer. He will plan and direct all aspects of IndiSoft’s business objectives, operational policies and initiatives. Khanna will spearhead the company’s development of its platform to ensure growth, while also determining and achieving short- and long-term financial and operational goals.
“Karun has more than 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry and has been instrumental in developing and implementing transformative business initiatives driven by enabling technologies,” said Sanjeev Dahiwadkar, CEO and president of IndiSoft. “He has worked with some of the largest institutions in the financial industry, and we are confident he will play a pivotal role in helping IndiSoft grow its market share among servicers, secondary market investors and mortgage insurance providers.”
Khanna brings a wealth of management expertise in strategy, operations and technology. Most recently, Khanna provided strategic advisory services to technology clients focused on growing market share in loan origination, product eligibility/pricing and default services. He has also held senior management positions with ALLTEL Information Services, First Guaranty Mortgage and SystemLogic, Inc.
“The mortgage industry needs a more effective process to address default management,” Khanna said. “IndiSoft has created a flexible and scalable platform for all the parties involved in the process to manage their workload and communicate with one another. The next step is to determine how we can better capitalize on that success and truly transform the operating paradigm.”
Khanna began his career in financial services as vice president at Citicorp Mortgage where he led the development and deployment of one of the first point-of-sale systems in the industry. He subsequently led centralized mortgage originations for Travelers Mortgage and was one of the earliest adopters of automated underwriting in order to create process efficiencies at U.S. Bancorp Mortgage. Additionally, Khanna was director of technology marketing at Fannie Mae where one of his responsibilities was the development and launch of the Electronic Partner Network to streamline information exchange in the origination process with business partners.
Dahiwadkar continued, “Having Karun join IndiSoft at this time will propel our company and its offering to the next level. He possesses the knowledge and experience in a multitude of different facets of business across the mortgage value chain, and his experiences in driving adoption of transformative technologies will be particularly helpful. Karun will help take IndiSoft’s widely-accepted platform to a new level for our current clients and future prospects.”
