Illinois Health Agents Selects LifeLock’s Industry Leading Service for Identity Theft Protection
Business Editors
TEMPE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--January 12, 2009--Illinois Health Agents, an independent insurance brokerage firm, has announced a partnership with LifeLock, the industry leader in the identity theft protection field. The alliance has resulted in Illinois Health Agents becoming an affiliate provider of LifeLock’s innovative, identity theft protection service.
“Adding identity theft protection to our growing list of products will help protect our clients from financial setbacks,” said Ryan Kennelly, Co-Founder of Illinois Health Agents. LifeLock offers every size business a solution to identity theft, which secures employees’ personal information and protects businesses from losing valuable time and resources that would otherwise be used by employees to resolve lingering credit problems. LifeLock offers an identity theft protection plan for individuals, both adults and children. "With this new relationship with LifeLock, we will be bringing our customers a proactive solution to a growing epidemic.”
LifeLock offers its members a complete package of identity theft protection services. Members are entitled to LifeLock’s WalletLock™, eRecon™ and TrueAddress™ services. WalletLock works to cancel and replace all documents and personal identifying information inside a wallet if it is lost or stolen. eRecon is a regular patrol of the Internet in search of social security numbers, credit card numbers, driver’s license numbers and email addresses of LifeLock members to protect against the information being illegally traded or sold online. LifeLock’s TrueAddress service searches to see if members have had a change of address form filed and alert them to ensure they are aware of the change. The company’s services are backed by a $1 million total service guarantee.
"This is a great way to start the new year,” said Todd Davis, LifeLock CEO. “Now, Illinois Health Agents current and future clients will have access to the best security tools to safeguard their personal, business and employee information from identity theft. Everyone expects 2009 to be a record year for identity theft, so this partnership with Illinois Health Agents couldn’t come at a better time or be more valuable."
Identity theft has become the number one crime in the nation, passing up drug trafficking, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. This fast-growing crime is costing Americans more than $1.2 billion annually, and the length of time a victim invests in clearing their good name can be up to three or more months, according to the Federal Trade Commission.
