Identity Theft 911 Client Relations Manager Elected President of the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators (IAFCI) Arizona Chapter

Identity Theft 911, the nation’s premier identity management and data risk management services provider, today announced that Client Relations Manager, Gina King, was elected president of the Arizona chapter of the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators (IAFCI). As leader of the one of the largest IAFCI chapters in the world, King is responsible for overseeing day-to-day chapter operations, chapter meetings, the annual chapter seminar, chapter financials and representing the chapter at the International board meetings.

The win recognizes King's 12 years of active IAFCI involvement and service in both Southern California and Arizona, including two years as chapter secretary and most recently, two years as vice president. King was directly involved with the planning and preparation for the 2009 Annual National Conference held in Phoenix, as well as with the chapter's last two well attended one-day seminars. King has more than 15 years in fraud experience, both as a fraud specialist and fraud manager for TransUnion and Identity Theft 911. She currently maintains relationships with some of Identity Theft 911’s top clients.

The IAFCI is a nonprofit international organization providing services and information about financial fraud, fraud investigation and fraud prevention methods. Having begun in 1968 in response to increasing transaction-card crimes, the association has grown steadily with members now spread across the globe representing law enforcement, banking and retail services.

Financial fraud is growing at a rapid pace, as criminals employ more sophisticated methods to get their hands on valuable credit card and other account information. The FTC's Consumer Sentinel Report states that consumers paid nearly $1.5 billion for fraud complaints in 2011 and that identity theft complaints remain the number one issue for the 14th consecutive year.
