Hub International Acquires Assets of AIA Insurance

Hub International Limited (Hub) announced that it has acquired the assets of Associated Independent Agencies, Inc. (AIA), a Pullman, Washington-based insurance brokerage firm. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The AIA operation will become part of Hub International Mountain States Limited (Hub Mountain). Tom Lees, Chairman, Mike Rydbom, President, and Les Ruhs, Secretary, will join Hub Mountain as a result of this transaction. Tom Lees will serve as a member of Hub Mountain's executive committee reporting to Tim Barnes, President, Hub Mountain.

Founded in 1985 through the consolidation of two long-standing agencies, AIA is one of the largest independent brokerages in eastern Washington and western Idaho. AIA is headquartered in Pullman, Washington with 14 additional locations throughout the region including Almira, Chewelah, Colfax, Colton, Colville, Davenport, Endicott, Kettle Falls, LaCrosse, Moscow, Palouse, Rosalia, Spokane and St. John. AIA offers personal, commercial and employee benefits solutions, with a deep niche in serving the insurance and risk management needs of small businesses, including the crop industry.
