Hispanic General Agents and Agents Seek Carriers Interested in Entering the Hispanic U.S. Citizen Market
Albuquerque, NM. (September 15, 2003) – Leading Hispanic General Agents and Agents are seeking insurance carriers interested in building the first Hispanic life insurance company in the United States. These same General Agents formed the International Association of Hispanic Insurance Professionals in 2003. The association was formed to provide a focused effort for Life and Property & Casualty insurance professionals serving the Hispanic market. In addition, the IAHIP provides educational and sales opportunities as well as a significant voice to insurance companies and Federal and State regulatory agencies. It currently has access to over 5000 dedicated sales professionals working in the Hispanic market.
With a growing population of over 38 million Hispanics in the United States, and an ever increasing expendable income, Hispanics, like any other consumer, need professional, reliable financial planning. Yet, even with 38 million Hispanics in the U.S., there is not one life insurance company dedicated to this market. By comparison, Spain has 38 million citizens with approximately 50 life insurance companies.
J.D. Moya, President of the IAHIP, stated that, “the time is right for the first life insurance company in the U.S. to be dedicated to the rapidly growing Hispanic demographic. Companies can no longer ignore the potential of the Hispanic family. Companies must realize that the Hispanic culture demands a whole new approach to sales, marketing, service and support.”
Mr. Moya, along with Michael Conley, CEO of Hispanic Marketing Consultants, have already initiated discussions with several carriers and expect to hear from more in the near future. Any company interested in learning more about this opportunity should contact Mr. Conley at [email protected].
